Adaptation
The goal of this project was to turn a personal collection of value tangible or digital. The collection most personal to me is music that have defined different phases of my life. I wanted to make this something creative, something no one would expect, so I chose to arrange these special songs and then paired the arrangement with classic vinyl sleeve cover. The arrangement was made within Noteflight, a music composition software. The graphics were created in Illustrator with additional editing done in Photoshop.
About the Design
The word “adaptation” transcends across my entire life. Each memory I chose to highlight exhibits myself having to adapt. Adaptation looks like a beautiful chaotic mess to me and that is how I chose to illustrate. I am a very musical person so when I was tasked to create personal archives of myself, I immediately thought of making a medley of all the songs that have transformed my life and helped me adapt into the person I am today. I compose the piece myself with pure love and passion towards my memories and the music.
